Black Fire Cement

Vitcas BFC: Black Fire Cement is a smooth, ready-to-use paste that sets rock hard when exposed to air. It provides excellent adhesion to fire bricks, stone, blockwork, clayware, and most metals. Ideal for small repairs (cracks under 5mm) and sealing joints to make them smoke- and gas-tight.

Common Uses:

• Sealing metal-to-metal joints on heating appliances
• Sealing joints between flue pipes and stoves (with stove rope)
• Installing or repairing fireplaces, ranges, ovens, and boilers
• Assembling cast iron stoves, cookers, and ranges

Application Advice:

• Clean all surfaces of dust, rust, dirt, and grease
• Cut the cartridge nozzle to size and apply with a cartridge gun
• Lightly dampen the surface before applying
• The cement will set at room temperature; heat can speed up the process
• After curing, fill any fine cracks for a complete airtight seal
